A note from Niamh & Izzy:  Many thanks to Richmond Motor Club for allowing us to run this extra event and obtaining a permit on our behalf. Many thanks to the landowner for kindly allowing us to use this excellent venue. Thank you to all riders and helpers for supporting this Fundraising Event in aid of Niamh and Izzy’s educational trip to Peru to undertake charity work.

Thinking of Others

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Martin Lampkin, a true trials legend who will be greatly missed. Condolences from all at Richmond Motor Club and The Scott Trial are offered to Isobel, Dougie, Harry and family, who are in our thoughts at this time.

We also bid a fond farewell last Monday to our own David ‘Tubby’ Allinson. Many members of the Club and wider trials fraternity attended David’s funeral, including RMC riders on bikes who escorted Tubby to and from the Church to give him a proper send off. We have been asked to clarify that Barry Robinson was present at the request of David’s family to take private photographs of the bikes and not for any press purposes. Our thoughts remain with David’s family.

REMEMBERING ‘TUBBY’, DAVID ALLINSON

UPDATE:  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE A6108 FROM RICHMOND WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY.  PLEASE MAKE ALLOWANCES FOR THIS IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING TO THE FUNERAL AT GRINTON.

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing away of our friend Tubby.
Tubby was Richmond Motor Club’s longest serving member and played a main role within the Club from the start, for which he was awarded recognition and honorary lifetime membership from the Club last year.
Tubby was a good friend to many of us and will be sadly missed by everyone.   Trials such as The Reeth 3 Day and The Scott Trial will not be the same without him.

Funeral service at St Andrew’s Church, Grinton on Monday 4th April at 1.00pm, followed by private cremation. Donations in memory of David may be given at the service for The British Heart Foundation and for the work of St Andrew’s Church.
Our thoughts are with his family.
