Eric Ridley – January Results 2016

Thank you’s:  Richmond Motor Club would like to thank the landowners, observers, Clerk of the course and helpers, Secretaries and anyone else involved in the running of today’s trial.  Also thank you to all the riders for entering and taking part.

Tuesday 2nd February  Richmond Motor  Club AGM followed by a committee meeting – Richmond Rugby Club – 7.30 pm

Sunday 21st February 2016 – Harold Graham Trophy Trial – Cogden Hall, Grinton – All Adult & Youth Classes – 10.30am start

Sunday 28th February 2016 – Dick Horner Memorial Trial – Wensley – Green/CM/O40/TS/All youth classes – 10.30am start

Eric Ridley Trial 31st January 2016:  The 2015 Eric Ridley Trial which was cancelled back in November is to be re-run on the 31st January 2016.  Same classes and venue as before – 10.30am start at Tongue Hill, Marske, DL11 7NW.  Adults/Green/CM/A Class.  Entry Form – Eric Ridley January 2016

Saturday evening (23rd January) saw Richmond Motor Club hold ‘An Evening with Ian Hutchinson’ , 11 times TT winner, at The Comrades Club in Richmond – a superb way to celebrate over 50 years of RMC Trials.

Larry Carter, motorsport journalist and broadcaster, acted as host and the audience were treated to an amazing evening hearing the story of Ian Hutchinson’s racing career and the many obstacles and surgical operations he has endured following a badly broken left leg after a crash at a British Supersport round in 2010.

After a very informative and interesting interview in front of a full house, there was a chance for the audience to ask their own questions – including whether Hutchy fancied riding The Scott Trial this October! (Hutchy did start out on a trials bike and still has one)  – Sadly it clashes with race dates.

The evening concluded with a chance for fans to have their photos taken with Ian, AKA ‘The Bingley Bullet’.

An absolutely fabulous evening was had by all, many thanks to Ian for joining us – what a top man he is – and many thanks to Larry for hosting.  Thanks also to  The Comrades Club, Richmond for the use of their room and to all those involved in organising the evening.

Membership:  Membership was due on the 1st January 2016.  Please make sure that you have your new membership card and updated ACU membership as soon as possible.  RMC Membership Form 2016
