It is with regret that Richmond Motor Club and The Reeth 3 Day Clerk of Course have taken the decision to cancel this year’s trial, due to the real risk of fire on the moorlands following weeks of dry weather, which is forecast to continue leading up to the trial.
We have seen the devastating effect of the fires on Saddleworth Moor and moorlands in other areas. Richmond Motor Club have not taken this decision lightly, as much time and work has already been undertaken by our dedicated team of Clerks of Course, Secretaries and helpers, however as a responsible club, we feel that we cannot put our local moorlands and farmland at risk, nor put the custodians of the moors; our gamekeepers, landowners and farmers in such a position where running the trial could put their livelihood, birds and animals at risk.
We will be in touch with riders in due course and more information on the administration side will be posted on the website as it becomes available.
Just a quick post to say that we will be doing the draw for numbers in the next couple of days so anyone needing to withdraw please let us know asap as it makes it much easier for us to fit in those on the waiting list before rather than after the draw. A full rider refund of £90 will be given before the draw takes place.
Tomorrow’s trial to be held at Applegarth, Richmond. Entry form is available to down load here:Applegarth 2018 Entry Form
The new white course will also be available at this trial which is a non championship hard course (no points just for fun / challenge) for adults and youth riders.

The 2018 Mintex has been another great success with a record 54 riders setting off and 45 making it back within the time limit.
Well done to all those taking part this year we really hope you enjoyed your day.
To organise this Youth Time and Observation Trial (our own mini-Scott), Richmond Motor Club had 84 signed on officials for the day and we absolutely couldn’t do it without all of this help. The ratio of officials to riders is pretty high and we thank each and every one of them. We would also like to thank the landowners, farmers and gamekeepers for allowing us to use the land, your continued support is very much appreciated.
